The Pittsburg State University Wind Ensemble presents their season opening concert as part of the 2026 Hispanic Music Festival. This concert, titled "Rooted," explores the roots of Hispanic music and culture in modern concert music, and will feature the world premiere of a piano concerto performed by Isaac Hernandez in addition to a full program of Hispanic music that will make you want to dance in your seat!

The 68th Annual Biblesta Parade is coming to Humboldt, Kansas on Saturday, October 3! Start your day with the Run For The Son, Live Music, enjoy the Parade, Family fun, the Bean feed, and special live music from Sanctus Real and Sean Rodriguez! The Fun begins at 8 and goes until dark, with the after dark events for teens. Our location at 725 Bridge St in Humboldt. Come celebrate Faith, Family and Fun!

Cato Days celebrates the first community in Southeast Kansas. It was settled in 1857 and the one-room schoolhouse, built in 1869, still exists. Our event has historical re-enactments, a presentation in the schoolhouse, a wagon tour of the area, chuck wagon food for lunch, a mini tractor ride for the kids, and much, much more.

This free event, organized by the Cato Historical Preservation Association to celebrate Cato’s pioneer heritage, features activities for all ages. Activities include music and history at the historic Cato Christian Church, a Cavalry drill and historic reenactment led by Matt Feild, a visit to the “Old Stone School,” and a hayrack ride to local historical sites. The Southeast Kansas Antique Tractor Club will have train rides for kids and tractor displays. During lunch, Jim Harris and the Players Circle will perform, and pulled pork sandwiches, prepared by Shawn Pryer and the Mighty MO Chuck Wagon Crew, will be available for purchase. There will also be a raffle for a quilt donated by Sue James. All proceeds will go toward preserving Cato’s historic buildings and sponsoring Cato Kids’ Day, held every year for local fourth- and fifth-graders.

Robert Peterson and The Crusade have officially announced their first live concert performance, scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 8:00 PM at the Hughes Brothers Theatre in Branson, Missouri. The highly anticipated event will showcase the band's powerful blend of melodic Christian rock, soaring guitar tones, and classic arena-rock influence in the heart of Branson's entertainment district. 
The announcement comes as momentum continues building around the band's debut album, Change Coming On, and the breakout success of their song "Sometime," which debuted at #2 on the independent Christian Radio Chart Weekly Top 20.
